This project presents several results for the enriched exploitation of trajectories of mobile objects. Namely, we faced the following problems:
- Efficient execution of complex queries on trajectory data, including queries aimed at processing trajectories with other attributes, compute their similarity, cluster them, or extract “contacts” or proximity between mobile objects.
- Efficient production of complex maps in web client map viewers, overcoming the current problems of slow creation of maps when they are complex and show many data.
- Clear visualization of trajectories and other temporal data in maps, improving the usual limitation of showing only snapshots of specific time instants that hide the temporal nature of the data.
- Efficient storage of the huge amount of trajectories, current applications can collect, taking advantage of the proliferation of GPS´s devices everywhere (smartphones, cars, etc.).
